Everything on this page is planned rather than finished. None of it exists yet — it is here so you can see where the house is heading.

The plan

Stage by stage

Roughly in this order, though the house will no doubt have opinions of its own. Timings are being confirmed.

  1. Clear and reset

    Remove unwanted furniture and contents, organise the house and carry out essential repairs. The unglamorous but necessary beginning.

  2. Bedrooms

    Better beds and mattresses, improved lighting, proper linen and somewhere to put your things. Sleeping well matters more than anything else here.

  3. Living spaces

    Simpler layouts, better furniture and more comfortable places to sit and spend time together.

  4. Kitchen and dining

    Improve equipment, storage and functionality so the house works properly for groups cooking and eating together.

  5. Outdoor living

    Develop the terrace and garden with better furniture, planting and places to eat and relax outside.

  6. Working from Osor

    A useful workspace and a reliable internet setup, for anyone who wants to stay longer than a holiday.

  7. The finished Casa Osor

    Professional photography, refined interiors and eventually a full commercial holiday-rental website.

The vision

Relaxed, understated and unmistakably Osor

The intention is not to erase the age or history of the property. We want to retain its character while making it calmer, more comfortable and more functional.

Natural materials. Simple furniture. Comfortable beds and good lighting. Kitchens and bathrooms that actually work. Uncluttered rooms that still feel like they belong to this village and this house — places to read, eat, work and relax, with room for families and groups.

Not a renovation that turns an old Catalan house into somewhere that could be anywhere.

What this means if you stay now

The house will change

If you come twice, it will not be the same both times. We think that is part of the interest.

Some things are temporary

Furniture and furnishings that came with the house are gradually being replaced.
